For students
A way of seeing the work matters more than any tool
Tools change quickly; the judgement to use them well lasts, and it can be built in any subject.
The work comes before the product
Much of what students hear about AI concerns which product to use. We teach them to look first at the work: what it is for, what good looks like, and only then what a tool might add.

Quality is a human decision
AI produces drafts, answers and options faster than anyone can weigh them. The question becomes what deserves to exist and whether it is right, and that choice rests with whoever understands the work.
Your judgement is what others will see
A finished piece made with AI shows little of what its maker understands. Understanding shows in the decisions you can explain: what you gave to AI, what you kept for yourself, what you checked and what you changed when it fell short.
Where it begins
A goldsmith and a carpenter both use a hammer, yet the material decides which one, how hard and when to stop. Your subject is that material. On a first day with us, you see AI attempt a task you already know and learn to ask what it got right, what it missed and what only you can decide. It is where the habit begins; your degree is where it grows.
