Who we are

aith.si is operated by NATE Advisory, Ashoka Road, St Thomas Town, Bangalore 560084 (“we”, “us”). We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, and are responsible for it.

What we collect

  • When you write to us: your name, organisation if you give one, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
  • When you ask for a hands-on day: your name, email or phone number, college, course, town and state, and preferred language.
  • When you take part in a hands-on day: your name, college and the work you make on the day.
  • When you visit the site: basic technical information needed to deliver the site securely, such as your browser type and the pages requested. [State here whether any analytics or cookies are used; if none, say so.]

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, financial or identity documents, and we ask you not to send it.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your message.
  • To take your request for a hands-on day to your college, and to arrange and run the day.
  • To keep a record of the work students make, so that they can see and use it.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

We use your data only for these purposes, and only with your consent, which you give when you send a form or take part. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect anything done before you withdraw it.

Students’ work

What a student makes belongs to the student. It is shared only with the student’s consent, and the student decides what is published. Anything reported to a college or partner gives totals only. We do not sell personal data, and we do not provide lists of named students to anyone.

Who we share it with

  • Your college, when you ask for a hands-on day or take part in one.
  • Service providers who host the site, store data or send email on our behalf, under contract and only for these purposes.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some service providers may store data outside India. Where they do, we take steps to ensure it is protected to the standard this notice describes, and we follow any restrictions set under Indian law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Messages are kept for [period]; records of hands-on days and students’ work are kept for [period] or until the student asks us to delete them.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it, by withdrawing your consent;
  • name someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.

Write to team@aith.si. We will reply within the time the law allows.

Students under eighteen

Our work is meant for undergraduate and postgraduate students. If a participant is under eighteen, we ask for the consent of a parent or guardian before collecting their data, and we do not track or target them with advertising.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a breach occurs that affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Grievances

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, write to our grievance officer: [name], team@aith.si, NATE Advisory, Ashoka Road, St Thomas Town, Bangalore 560084. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
