AI will widen the reach of what people know
Fire gave light and warmth, print carried the written word, electricity carried power. AI can help carry what a person learns only by doing the work.
At aith.si, we prepare students of every subject to shape AI for the work their field leads to.
AI will widen the reach of what people know
Fire gave light and warmth, print carried the written word, electricity carried power. AI can help carry something that was never written down: what a person learns only by doing the work. From a city, a town or a village, an idea from inside a field can travel far enough to change how that work is done, while remaining its maker’s own.
Each new force found its people
No earlier force changed the world on its own. Print mattered because scholars, merchants and reformers knew what to put into it; electricity, because people across many trades worked out how to use it. AI will follow the same course. Its reach will depend on people who know a field well enough to decide what it should do there.
One change can reach a whole field
Change begins with someone who understands a particular piece of work. What they learn rarely stays in one place: the same questions arise wherever similar work is done, and an answer shaped by one person can change practice across a field. We prepare students to be those people.
From one place to a whole field
Knowledge of a field is the qualification
Shaping AI asks for knowledge of a field more than of technology. That is why we work with undergraduate and postgraduate students of every subject, in cities, towns and villages, and in ten Indian languages as well as English.
